At Grupo Transoceánica, we believe that every action counts, and as part of our mission to be leaders, we are prouder than ever today. The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Ecological Transition or also known as MAATE for its acronym in Spanish, has awarded us the Carbon Footprint Reduction Certification, Quantification Stage, recognizing our effort to implement the Ecuador Carbon Zero Program which is also known as PECC for its acronym in Spanish, within our organization. The recognition, received on November 29, not only reaffirms our commitment to the environment but also motivates us to continue advancing toward a greener and more responsible future.

What is Carbon Zero, and Why is it Important?

PECC is a national initiative aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions by compensating the carbon footprint generated by productive activities and turning it into an opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment.

Receiving this recognition is more than an-honor; it reflects the teamwork and dedication of each of our collaborators to create a real impact on our environment. We are not only safeguarding the planet’s future, but also that of our communities, employees, and customers.

This achievement is the result of a shared vision, one that grows stronger every day with each action we take.

For us, this is just the beginning. We are seeking new ways to keep contributing, promoting sustainable practices across all aspects of our operations. We know there’s still much to be done, and we are ready to keep working on it.

The commitment doesn’t stop here!
